Hike for Hesed
We are pleased and proud to report that through the kindness and generosity of hundreds of individuals and corporations, the Fifth Annual Hike for Hesed was a record–breaking success! Through corporate sponsorships, hiker registration, matching gifts, gifts–in–kind and hiker sponsors, $51,000 was raised to help the poor and homeless at Hesed House! With your help, we surpassed last year’s total by $11,000!
Despite the tough economy, business leaders and other caring individuals reached out to make a difference like never before. The boost in funds raised through the Hike is a blessing allowing us to respond to the increasing demands for our services. Donations to the Hike will help provide food, shelter, counseling, housing and medical assistance, job skills training, children's therapy and many other much–needed services for those who are struggling to regain independent, productive lives.
