Items listed below can be dropped off at 659 S River Street, Door B, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm or after-hours at the entrance to the PADS shelter on the upper south side of the building. To receive a receipt of your donation, please be sure to fill out the duplicate Gift in Kind Donation Form at the time you drop off your donation and keep a copy for your records.

Please note: We use all donated items to serve the needs of homeless individuals in your community. First, our guests/residents receive all of the items they need. Second, excess items may be converted into resources to purchase food, counseling, case management and other services that help end homelessness, one person, one family at a time.

If you have any questions about your gift in kind donation, please send an e-mail to donate@hesedhouse.org or call 630-914-6428.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time we are unable to accept at this time the following: tube televisions, used pillows or blankets, full or larger used bedding items, used toys (including new/used stuffed animals) and new/used books.

Blessings Bags: We provide our guests with all of the items traditionally found in “Blessings Bags” however, we pass these items out one at a time to individuals as needed. This helps us conserve and ensure unneeded items found in these bags do not go to waste. Therefore, we prefer to receive these items individually rather than in a kit whenever possible.
