Transitional Living Community
Transitional Living Community (TLC) serves as the next step on the road to independence for homeless individuals and families at Hesed House.
Open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, TLC is a dormitory style living community for nearly 60 persons (always over 50% children). Individuals and families may stay up to two years while they rebuild their lives.
TLC is a very structured environment with mandatory case management, chores and progress reports.
Many families over the years have come to TLC from the overnight emergency shelter or other agencies in town and found the space and the resources they need to take charge of their lives again.
