Despite the continuing tough economic times, business leaders and other caring individuals are reaching out to make a difference like never before. The funds raised through the Hike are a blessing allowing us to respond to the increasing demands for our services in this community. Donations to the Hike will directly help to provide food, shelter, counseling, housing and medical assistance, job skills training, children's therapy and many other much–needed services for those who are struggling to regain independent, productive lives in the Fox Valley Area. Our goal this year is to raise $60,000.

HIKE for HESED is a 3–mile walk that begins at Hesed House, traveling to the Aurora Transportation center, and returning to Hesed House. The same path many of our guests and residents take on a daily basis.

We will hike rain or shine.

Registration begins at 9:00 am with the Hike kicking off at 10:00 am. Upon returning to Hesed House, there is a picnic lunch, entertainment, and childrens' activities. The entertainment will be provided by "Chicago Mobile DJs", Marcus A Windsor, owner. This is a family and dog–friendly event! Whether you prefer to power–walk or meander, there's a place for you!

Each individual participant or team will seek sponsors to support their walk. Sponsors may include family, friends, neighbors, co–workers, corporations and more! Anyone collecting $25 or more will receive the 7th Annual Hike for Hesed t–shirt.

Thank you for your interest in the 7th annual Hike for Hesed. Your participation will help hundreds of children, families, men and women with the necessary services to assist them in transitioning from homelessness to independent living or maintaining their independent living through a crisis, such as loss of a job. On behalf of all of the individuals and families served, thank you! All funds raised will directly benefit those in the community who are in need and are tax–deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
